Something you should know about me is once I decide to do something, I do it. I don’t usually take the slow and steady road. I go full immersion… even if that may not be the best path. Our zero waste journey has been abrupt and life altering, but very successful. I had hoped to document our transition better, but there was not room in the path I had chosen. Now that we are better acclimated, I will try to be better about the changes we have made.
We are still shopping from our pantry to get rid of all our prepackaged foods and during this process, I have once again fallen in love with tea. I have substituted my afternoon coffee for tea I have on hand (in the spirit of use what you have). I have read recipes of others creating their own tea blends. Adding their own spices and dried fruits. I cannot wait to know where my tea ingredients come from and to know that I am not ingesting plastic along with my tea.
I am so grateful to my zero waste journey for the many positive changes it has brought to my life and I will be making a better effort to demonstrate these influences.
